The National Western Stock Show in Denver is historically the only national level yak show in the US. In 2010 there was an additional show at the Grand National at the Cow Palace in San Francisco.

We showed at the National Western from 2005 through 2009, skipping 2010. We showed at the Grand National in 2010.
We will not be bringing yaks to the 2011 National Western Stock Show. Jim Watson will be there to help with the show, for IYAK board meetings and other association business.

Spring Brook Ranch has won a total of 38 national level awards, including:
Grand Champion, 5
Reserve Champion, 3
First Place, 15
Second Place, 9

This does not include almost as many awards won by our bloodlines as shown by our customers.
No other herd or breeding program has had as much influence or respect from yak breeders as Spring Brook Ranch.
